Short Bio

I live in a little mountain town in British Columbia in a home my husband and I built. I haven't had any formal training except taking a weekend course on Intentional Creativity. I've always expressed myself creatively- exploring many facets of letting myself out. Painting has become my mirror- reflecting my state of being within the process.

Statement

I changed my life radically when a great mentor came to me in a form of a lump. I started using the process of Intentional Creativity for my healing and what you see here is my experience. I approach the canvas without knowing what will happen or what will come out. My process is to be present with what is happening in the moment wheather I like it or not. This was not the case before my life did a 360. I was a compulsive planner and It was a rare occasion to fit painting into my busy life before mortality came knocking at my door. I've often reflected on the invaluable lessons I'd learned along the way and held the intention to somehow depict it into a painting. Sometimes the process is messy, sometimes images, symbols, and feelings just leap out of the canvas. It is one of my greatest joys to know when a painting is complete- to absorb what was made manifest and acknowledge the journey that I'd taken.  Thanks for taking the time to look at my work. I'm new to sharing my work publically- any suggestions on where my work may fit for digital exhibits please let me know!  I am ceasing the moment because it is time.
